I remember playing with these Vintage American Plastic Bricks, by Elgo, long before Legos hit the market. Circa 1951, this canister, full of these building bricks, could keep children and adults busy for hours. This American Plastic Bricks #705 Vintage Block Toys Canister with Bricks 545A, is a great addition for any vintage toy collector.
Canister is in very good vintage condition and lid still screws on tightly. There is some slight surface rust on tin screw-on lid. Slight staining on canister, however, does not affect text or graphics. Still very vivid and bright. The set originally came with 290 building brick pieces, including doors and windows, however, this set is missing some of those pieces. Also, there is no instructional manual. All brick pieces still interlock perfectly.
