This vintage Puretest Psyllium-Blonde Indian Plantago Seed tin is a very old collectible, antique medicine tin. Packaged by United Drug Company of Boston and St. Louis. Circa 1920's - 1930's.
Blond psyllium is an herb. The seed and the outer covering of the seed (husk) are used to make medicine and for softening stools in people with hemorrhoids, anal fissures, and after anal surgery. It is also used for diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), ulcerative colitis, and dysentery. Purtetest was Rexall label. Very common druggist, apothecary or doctor, recommendation.
Rare Tin, at almost 100 years old shows her age. There's some light surface rust, but does not affect text or graphics. An excellent vintage/antique advertising tin for collector or antique lover.
