This vintage tin is very rare and hard to find. It is from the early 1900's and was a tube of "Hess Company's High Grade Grease Paint. This theatrical face paint was used by Vaudeville, minstrel productions, and circus performers, as well. It was made by the Hess Company, Charles D. Hess, under the Pure Food and Drug Act June 30, 1906 Serial No 2247. This company was based out of Rochester, NY.
The vintage tin shows wear and some scratches. There is still some of the original grease paint stick inside. All colors and graphics still very vivid and bright and in very good vintage condition and well over 100 years old.
This rare tin is a wonderful addition to any antique tin collection. Great to add to any rustic, country or farmhouse style decor!
