This vintage advertising, early and rare Velvet Tobacco tin is a a great tobacciana collectible Velvet, "America’s Smoothest Smoke" . Velvet Pipe and Cigarette Tobacco Tin. Liggett & Myers Tobacco Co. This is an earlier logo with Velvet shown as smoke coming out of the pipe. This is a very hard to find tobacco tin and one that would be a great addition. Circa 1930's-1940's.
Velvet pipe tobacco has been around for decades. The manufacturer uses a classic Burley blend mixed with a fruit flavoring that does not overpower the nuttiness of the Burley. Burley tobacco is a light air-cured tobacco used mostly in cigarette production.
This tobacco tin is in great vintage condition with very bright and vivid colors and lithographics, making a true vintage piece. Slight surface rust around rim and on original key. The top opens easily and the hinge is intact.
Display in any rustic, country or farmhouse style decor. Great prop for a smoke shop. Great vintage tin for a tobacco tin collector!
